How to operate a portable generator

In this video we share the step by step process to operate this versatile and compact portable generator.

In this case, it's a Trime 6.5 kilowatt 48 volt dc portable generator, equipped with a 3000 rpm Yanmar diesel air-cooled engine and lens alternator.

In order to protect the generator and yourself always make sure:

  • The breaker is turned off before putting the load cables in at the back
  • Take off the diesel fuel cap to check the fuel level.

If the generator has previously been in use make sure you check the air filter.
