What'st the importance of Crankcase Breather Valves?

And why they should be replaced after every 2,000 hours of use?

If you don't replace your crankcase breather:

The pressure inside the engine will build up and likely cause oil leaks in other parts of the engine such as the rear oil seal.

By taking the simple precaution of replacing your crankcase breather valve after every 2000 hours of use it will avoid unscheduled repairs and save you a whole lot of time and money in the future.

 

An often overlooked yet critic component of your generator is the crankcase breather valve.

All 400 series Perkins engines on the FG Wilson generators have crankcase breathers that prevent pressure from building up in the engine.

These breathers (Part # 915-041) should be part of your scheduled maintenance and replaced every 2000 hours.

Did you know there are 230 liters of oil circulating through the engine and the oil filters at any given moment?

When it comes to getting true performance in a Mitsubishi Diesel Generator every detail counts.

On the control panel there's a lot of information and some important parameters you will want to know.

One key piece of information is how long the engine has been running since new.

To do this you would press the up and down arrows simultaneously from the home screen and that will take you to the navigation menu.

The navigation menu has several icons displayed and to get the hours run you have to go to the engine with the information icon on it.
