From FG Wilson May Edition 2014 Insight Magazine
Congratulations to our Dealer, FGW LATCA (Latin America & Caribbean), whose growing business recently demanded a move of their Miramar, Florida distribution centre to larger premises.
On 7th March, 2014 FGW LATCA had its opening day attended by Steve Niehaus, VP for Electric Power Division.
Having previously been spread across two separate premises, the Dealer is now centralised in one facility boasting a total floor space of 50,000 sq ft. The larger layout facilitates more space for staff to meet with customers when they are visiting, buying parts or discussing a project. The new premises also provide improved inventory storage and handling capability.
Another significant driver of this expansion was an increased demand for customer training. The new training suite accommodates both theoretical and practical training to be carried out in a classroom environment. It also has dedicated practical skills area in the warehouse for engine training up to 4000 series engines.
With all transactions now being conducted under one roof, the Dealership is able to respond more efficiently to customers, ensuring they can be easily kept up to date on the status of their orders.
Ruben Byerlee, Executive Manager of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, FGW LATCA, commented, "The investment in the new facility was done primarily with our customers in mind. The improved training facilities give us the environment to provide a unique training experience on FG Wilson products to our customers in the region. This new facility also gives us more space to display FG Wilson generators and parts."
We wish FGW LATCA every success with their new premises and the new orders it will help win.
