FG Wilson has introduced a new range of digital control panels named the PowerWizard series for the full range of diesel generators from 10kVA to 2000kVA.PowerWizard1.0 is an auto start control & protection panel, while PowerWizard2.0 has several additional features including enhanced instrumentation, increased protection and remote monitoring & control capabilities.
The first model, PowerWizard1.0, is the most commonly used and supersedes the 2001, 4001 and Access 2000 control panels. This panel has many control, monitoring and protection features that come as standard and is suitable for most applications. It features basic AC & DC metering, alarms and shutdowns for protection including a fault log for diagnosis, and controls for operation of the unit. Features such as low/high battery voltage indication, battery charger failure (if fitted), underspeed, overspeed and loss of engine speed detection that were optional features on the previous control panels come as standard on PowerWizard1.0. The auto start feature of this panel can be used in conjunction with the ATI series of automatic load transfer switches to create a reliable backup power system in case of mains power failure.
PowerWizard2.0 replaces the 4001E, Access 4000 and 6100 control panels and is used for applications where comprehensive monitoring and protection and/or remote monitoring and control is required. The panel provides enhanced AC metering including kW, kVA, kVAr, Power Factor, kWH & kVArH in addition to Voltage, Amps and Frequency metering available on PowerWizard1.0. It also has under frequency, over frequency and overcurrent protection as standard. Optional equipment that can be ordered with this panel includes remote annunciators and remote monitoring/control using a dial-up modem and software that can be installed on a personal computer. PowerWizard3.0 is for customized applications and features advanced engine & AC metering and an upgraded graphical display. Its functionality can be increased by add-on/expansion modules.

Hi We have an FG Wilson Genset with the Access 2000 controller. Can't find the manual and we need to connect up the two wire control for auto start. Any information such as which terminals to wire the control signal to, or where to download the manual would be appreciated. Thanks. Matt

Hello. I have a 100 kva FG Wilson generator. Grounding or earthing was not done during the installation. Can this send high voltages to the electronic equipment it serves? And also can the power wizard shut the getset down when it experiences high voltages.
